I LOVE re-watching movies that I LOVED as a kid! π
One movie that I recently re-watched was Bean, the 1997 film. I had this movie on VHS when I was a kid and LOVED watching it with my sister. π
I clearly watched the movie A LOT because when I recently re-watched it, I remembered most of the lines. π
I laughed SO MUCH when I was re-watching the film.
One of my favorite moments is when Mr. Bean gets water all over his pants moments before an important meeting, and because he is worried that he looks like he peed his pants, he does some REALLY awkward things in the men’s room to try to dry his pants. π
One part of the movie that I forgot about was how HILARIOUS the end of the film is when they show Mr. Bean enjoying the sights of L.A. while “I Love L.A” is playing in the background and Mr. Bean doesn’t understand what it means when someone flips you the bird. Check it out! π€£π
It makes me laugh so hard that my eyes water! π
I never heard the whole version of “I Love L.A.” by Randy Newman, nor had I seen the official music video until I found it for this week’s post.
Lyrics:
Hate New York City
It’s cold and it’s damp
And all the people dressed like monkeys
Let’s leave Chicago to the Eskimos
That town’s a little bit too rugged
For you and me you bad girl
Rollin’ down the Imperial Highway
With a big nasty redhead at my side
Santa Ana winds blowing hot from the north
And we were born to ride
Roll down the window, put down the top
Crank up the Beach Boys, baby
Don’t let the music stop
We’re gonna ride it till
We just can’t ride it no more
From the South Bay to the Valley
From the West Side to the East Side
Everybody’s very happy
‘Cause the sun is shining all the time
Looks like another perfect day
I love L.A. (we love it)
I love L.A. (we love it)
We love it
Look at that mountain
Look at those trees
Look at that bum over there, man
He’s down on his knees
Look at these women
Ain’t nothing like ’em nowhere
Century Boulevard (we love it)
Victory Boulevard (we love it)
Santa Monica Boulevard (we love it)
Sixth Street (we love it, we love it)
We love L.A.
I love L.A. (we love it)
I love L.A. (we love it)
I love L.A. (we love it)

I was very humored to see that the part of Bean that features this song shares some similarities to the official music video. That makes the end of the movie even more hilarious for me! π
If you’ve ever seen Bean, what was your favorite part?
I hope this week’s post made you laugh! π
Wishing you well! π
