It’s always nice when you’re in a waiting room and hear a song that you enjoy. 😊

This recently happened when I was at the dentist.

There were a lot of calming songs playing that were clearly meant to help people relax, but none of them particularly moved me.

Suddenly, I heard a beautiful saxophone melody and thought, Hey! I know this song! 😁

It was the start of “Careless Whisper” by George Michael.

I have to be honest. I assumed this song was called “I’m Never Gonna Dance Again,” so I was surprised to learn that the title is actually “Careless Whisper.” 😁

I had never seen the official music video for this song until I wrote this post.

I appreciate that the music video tells a story.

Think about the story that the music video tells and the lyrics to the song.

Now, think of the lines:

Was what I did so wrong, so wrong
That you had to leave me alone?

What do you think? Was he really so wrong? Did he deserve to be left alone?

The song and the music video made me think of the expression, “The grass is greener on the other side,” and proves that the grass is NOT greener on the other side.

 I recently came across the expression, “The grass is always greener where you water it,” and I love this! 💜
