I had never really listened closely to the song before, and I found the story being told in the song to be very interesting.

The words “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you just might find that you get what you need” are very wise.

Can you think of a time that you REALLY, REALLY wanted something to work out, but it didn’t? In that case, did something even BETTER happen because that situation didn’t work out?

What was not amazing was the experience that I had with the airline that brought me there and back to the U.S. 🤣

Although the airline experience was the worst I had ever experienced, what I learned from the experience was that I will never use that airline again! 😂

What I chose to do despite the airline experience was appreciate that the airline did end up getting me to Portugal, where I had an INCREDIBLE time, and did get me back home.

We can’t always get what we want in life, but it’s important that we keep moving forward no matter what! 💛
