Songs That Move Me- “One Woman”

Last Friday was International Women’s Day. Happy belated International Women’s Day!

In honor of this day, a beautiful song, “One Woman,” was released. It was really challenging for me to hold back tears when I heard this song. This song is about being united as women, staying strong, and fighting for equality.

This song is primarily made up of beautiful female voices (from all over the world!), but in the bridge, men’s voices are added (to both figuratively and literally say that there are men who fight for the equality of women). This part of the song moved me the most. If strong women and men come together, we can have equality among men and women.

As someone who works with women from all over the world on a daily basis, I have learned more and more about how women are abused, taken advantage of, underestimated, underpaid, etc. The more I learn, the more I wish that women and men would come together to end this injustice. If you want to listen to or purchase “One Woman”, you can do so here.

You can make a difference. The money you spend on this song will go directly toward the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women.
