My First Make Music Madison Performances

Last Sunday was AWESOME! I had TWO shows! 🙂

It was my first time participating in Make Music Madison. And, it was my first time performing at TWO shows in ONE day!

I had a show at 12:00pm at Reger Park.

On the way to the park, I was super excited to see my name on a street flyer!

Here are some photos of me performing at Reger Park.

This was my first opportunity to perform outside. I LOVE nature, so I really enjoyed the experience!

The only part I didn’t like was the mean bug…

During one of the songs that I was playing, I started to have a lot of pain in my back, like something was biting me. I’m a performer, so I can’t just stop playing to figure out what’s biting me. I waited until the song was over to grab whatever was biting my back and throw it on the ground. Sure enough, it was a mean horsefly. And according to the mark on my back, it enjoyed a bunch of my blood. 😡

A funny part of performing at Reger Park was the fact that my heels kept sinking in the mud. I had to stay balanced during my performance so that I didn’t fall down 😉 When I had to step away from the mic to grab my capo, I had to be really careful that my feet didn’t come out of my shoes because my shoes were so stuck in the mud 😛

After my performance, I got a picture with the lovely Reger Park sign and Make Music Madison banner. I was SUPER excited to see my name on the banner! 🙂

After my show at Reger Park, I had a few hours until my 4:15pm show at Olbrich Park.

Once 4:15 rolled around, I was ready to perform again 🙂

At Olbrich Park, I got to stand on a little stage, so there was no sinking in the mud at this show 😛

And there was a professional sound engineer! This was my first time performing with a professional sound engineer. That was pretty cool! 🙂

As I mentioned earlier, I love being outside, so I thought it was really awesome that I got to perform right in front of the lake! How cool is that!?!

Olbrich Park is a really popular place for people to go to celebrate the Summer Solstice. There were a lot of families at the park and a lot of children enjoying the music. It is just a super good feeling to know that the music you are performing is making kids smile and dance 🙂

It was a lot of fun to provide entertainment to all the people at Reger and Olbrich Parks on a beautiful, Summer Solstice day 🙂

I hope that I can perform at Make Music Madison next year!
