Happy May! 😀

I’ve been enjoying meeting my goal of posting at least one song a month on my YouTube channel, AllysMusicRoom. If you haven’t yet seen last month’s song, my cover of “Gray or Blue,” you can watch it, here.

Unfortunately, recently, when I was on my YouTube channel, I noticed a very rude comment that someone posted. As soon as I started posting songs on YouTube and as soon as I decided that I would make an album, I knew that there would be people out there who didn’t like my music and would hide behind the anonymity of the internet and be negative.

It is curious to me why people use the internet to be negative and cruel. I not only think that it’s curious, I also find it to be extremely sad that the only pleasure some people find is when they put other people down.

I feel that there are so many reasons that people act like this. One reason is that they want to be so-called, “cool”. The desire to be “cool” is such a sad goal. Life isn’t about being “cool.” It’s about being a good person and adding value to the lives of others. It is truly sad that some people focus on how others view them so much that they would rather be negative than positively contribute to society.

Another reason, and I believe the main reason, people act like this is because they are not happy with themselves. They are jealous of the people that work hard to pursue their dreams because they know that they are not brave enough to even try.

Yes, it is crappy when people behave this why, but those people have NO right to judge you! 🙂 They don’t even know you! 🙂

So what is the best way to respond? Don’t respond. 🙂 Use their negativity to motivate you to work even harder to make your dreams come true. Use them as a reminder that YOU are brave because YOU are actually working toward your goals, while they are not. 😀

When faced with a negative person who hides behind the anonymity of the internet, always remember, it’s YOUR life to live, not THEIRS! ❤
