I had been waiting and waiting and waiting for my drum set to arrive. I ordered a Pearl drum set through Amazon. On Saturday, I was so excited when my drum set finally arrived! I was surprised there was only one box, however.  Sadly, things did not turn out the way I had hoped. As I started removing the contents of the box, I realized that a bunch of equipment was missing from my drum set. Somewhere there was a snafu, but since I want to start recording my first album really soon, I decided that it’s better not to wait a couple more weeks for a complete drum set.

So, I went to Heid Music in Madison on Saturday. The staff there was extremely helpful. I found the perfect drum set! It’s made by Yamaha. It’s this crazy lime green color. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love with it! It has Paiste 101 Brass Symbols which sound really sweet!

In case any of you were wondering what the black pads on my drums and cymbals are, they are Evans Soundoff mutes.(I don’t want my roommates to hate me for getting a drum set!)

As you can see, I’m super excited about my new drum set! I’m sporting my XL Brewers jersey here. It looks like a dress, but I am wearing shorts. 😛

I’m writing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and drum music for all of my songs.

I’m really excited that I have all my instruments now! I’m almost ready for the recording studio  🙂
