1st Day in Japan

As a continuation of my post last week, I’m going to tell you about my first full day in Japan. (Remember, I only had 2 full days to spend there, so I tried to make the most of it.)

My first day in Japan was a rainy day. 😦

But this didn’t stop me from appreciating the beautiful sakura trees!

The first thing I really wanted to do in Japan was visit the The Japanese Sword Museum at the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai in Tokyo.  I was really excited about this museum because I’m very interested in swords, and I was impressed by the number of swords the museum had, as well as how old some of the swords were!

You’re not allowed to take pictures of the exhibits, but I was able to take some pictures at the entrance of the building.

Next, I got to eat ramen at a traditional ramen shop.

At the ramen shop, I first went to the ramen order station.

This is basically a vending machine where you select your order, it prints out a ticket with your order on it, and you give it to the restaurant attendants.

It was even more delicious than I imagined!

After my amazing dinner, I got to travel to Tokyo Station in order to get to my next destination: the beautiful Imperial Gardens.

Next, I had dinner an awesome Alice in Wonderland restaurant, Alice’s Fantasy Restaurant: Alice in a Labyrinth.

We had a 6 course meal! 🙂 Here are 2 of the courses. 😉
