On Saturday, I had the honor of performing at my sister’s wedding.
(I was also in the wedding…hence the bridesmaid dress π )
I performed three songs:
- Steve Angrisano’s “Alleluia (Gospel Acclamation)”
- Michael Joncas’ “Psalm118: This Is the Day”
- Hal Hopson & Brian Wren’sΒ “When Love is Found”
Although I have done shows where I have performed over 30 songs, Saturday’s performance was the most challenging performance I have ever had.
I hadn’t performed at a wedding for over 10 years, and the last time I performed at a wedding, it was actually for my cousin’s wedding.
I remember being very nervous for that performance because I wanted everything to go perfectly for my cousin’s wedding.
Imagine how I felt for my sister’s wedding π I wanted everything to go perfectly, and I was really emotionally involved in the wedding because it was my sister! π
Fortunately, people really enjoyed the music I performed at the wedding. Most importantly, my sister was happy with how everything sounded. π
Who would have thought that my toughest performance yet would only be three songs long? π
Ally, Β Β Β You could do this professionally at weddings if you wanted to (advertise???)
