I feel extremely grateful that despite being ill, I was able to record and submit my new song to the NPR Tiny Desk Contest on the final day of the contest! ❤

To get my voice ready for last Sunday’s video, I drank a lot of tea and water and tried to talk as little as possible during the entire week!

On Sunday, the talented writer and director, C.L. Manion, filmed my new song.

Here’s a photo of me warming up. Sitting on the desk is hot lemon water that I drank prior to filming and between each take. It definitely helped my throat! 🙂

We did a few takes of the song, each take from a different angle-one of them of me sitting on my desk! 😀 Here’s a photo C.L. Manion took while we were setting up for that take.

Although it was so much fun to perform the song on my desk, that was not the take we liked the best.

Here is the version of my new song, “Where’s the Peace?” that I submitted to the contest.
