I found this interview to be fantastic! I thought it was terrific that H. Jon Benjamin decided to make an album with extremely talented, professional jazz musicians (drummer, Jonathon Peretz, saxophonist, Scott Kreitzer, and bassist, David Finck), while knowing NOTHING at all about how to play piano. 😀

It is hilarious to listen to these songs! I literally burst out laughing! 🙂 The songs are just beautiful when Peretz, Kreitzer, and Finck are playing. However, the tone of the songs complete change as soon as you hear Benjamin’s piano parts. It sounds like Benjamin is just mashing keys together, at whatever tempo he wants to, no matter what it sounds like! 🙂

I LOVE IT! 🙂

Despite having a strong inclination about how this recording project would probably turn out because Benjamin had no experience with the piano, he made the album anyway! 🙂

Although there may be some people out there who are not a fan of this project, I really admire Benjamin for completing this project and sharing it with others! There are plenty of musicians that sing songs that make people laugh, but I think it is a very unique idea to release an album where the way one plays an instrument is what makes people laugh! 🙂

During the interview, Benjamin shared that Peretz, Kreitzer, and Finck were unaware of the skills he lacked in playing piano until they started recording! 😮 😀

The biggest takeaway I got from this was how important it is for people to do what makes THEM happy. ❤

When you share your art with others, it might make some people happy, and it might make others unhappy. However, if it makes YOU happy, that is what counts! 🙂
