Somewhere Over the Rainbow

One of the songs that I have loved since I was a kid is “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” When I first watched Judy Garland sing it in The Wizard of Oz, I was memorized.

Judy Garland’s voice is incredible and gives such passion to the song. The song is very simple (making it easy to learn), and I remember singing it A LOT when I was a kid. 😉

One of my childhood friends had a baby grand piano in her house and a piano book full of kids’ songs. I remember being so excited when I found “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” in that book! Of course I started playing the song and singing along to it! 😉

Enjoy Judy Garland performing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” ❤

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There’s a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me

Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly

Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can’t I?
