Right Forward

Yesterday was the 4th of July, and people around the U.S. celebrated with cookouts and fireworks. 🙂

On the 4th of July, I always like to reflect on the many freedoms people in the United States have, and I feel grateful for all the individuals who have served in the military so that people in the U.S. can have the freedoms they do.

One of the veterans I think of every 4th of July is my grandfather who served in the navy during World War II. My grandfather loved celebrating the 4th of July, and I have fond memories of having a huge picnic at his house, playing games, playing with sparklers, and enjoying the John Philip Sousa marches that he blasted on his CD player. 🙂

Whenever I hear a John Philip Sousa march, I think of him. ❤

John Philip Sousa

Today, I dedicate this post to my grandfather. I hope you enjoy the United States Marine Band’s performance of John Philip Sousa’s “Right Forward.”
