I’ve got 30 songs that I’ve been preparing for the show! 😀 Some of them are songs I have written, and the others are some of my favorite covers.

One of the new song’s I’ve been working on covering is the 1978 song “Call Me” by Blondie.

Lyrics:

Colour me your colour, baby
Colour me your car
Colour me your colour, darling
I know who you are
Come up off your colour chart
I know where you are coming from
Call me (call me) on the line
Call me, call me any, anytime
Call me (call me) I’ll arrive
You can call me any day or night
Call me
Cover me with kisses, baby
Cover me with love
Roll me in designer sheets
I’ll never get enough
Emotions come, I don’t know why
Cover up love’s alibi
Call me (call me) on the line
Call me, call me any, anytime
Call me (call me) I’ll arrive
When you are ready we can share the wine
Call me
Oooh, he speaks the languages of love
Oooh, amore, chiamami, chiamami
Oooh, appelle-moi mon cheri, appelle-moi
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any way
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any day, any way

I thought it would be perfect to choose an old rotary phone for this post. 😉 I remember this song being on the radio on Saturdays. That’s when my mom listened to her Saturdays at the 70s radio station. 🙂 When I was a kid, we actually had an old rotary phone. I felt pretty special as I don’t remember my friends having one. 😉 The rotary phone makes me feel nostalgic as does this song. ❤

I love the energy of this song and the power in Debbie Harry’s voice!

I look forward to performing this song at my show next Thursday with my NEW PA! 😀

Thoughts? Please post them :-)
