It’s been a bit colder lately, here in Wisconsin, but since there has been no snow, I can’t complain! 😉

I recently rewatched the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You, starring Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Larisa Oleynik.

I remember first watching this film as a teen with my best friends, talking about how much of a CRUSH I was developing on Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) 😉 and how I TOTALLY wanted to grow out my hair like Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles). 🙂

The film begins with Kat Stratford sitting in her car at a stoplight and annoying people with her loud music. She was listening to this week’s song, “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.

I had never seen this music video before! It is utterly fantastic! ❤ I love the message that people should be who they want to be despite what others think.

This song perfectly summarizes Kat Stratford! I absolutely LOVE how she lives her life true to herself. She definitely makes a lot of people angry in the movie because she won’t conform to their expectations, but in the end, she is happy knowing that she has not changed her life or changed herself simply to please others.

What a profound act of self-love to live your life true to yourself even though you know others might be disappointed with you for not meeting their expectations. ❤

After I first saw 10 Things I Hate About You, it immediately became my FAVORITE movie! 🙂 To be honest, it is still one of my favorites! ❤ It is HILARIOUS and truly inspiring!
