What is your happy place? π
One of my happy places is the good old outdoors. π²
I love hiking, and with the weather getting warmer (again π ) here in Wisconsin, I’ve been able to enjoy walking in nature more regularly.
No matter what’s going on in my life, spending some time in nature always makes things a little better. What does your happy place do for you?
Since Earth Day is tomorrow, I thought it would be fitting to share a song about loving being in the outdoors. In the case of this week’s song, it’s about the love of gardening. π±
This week’s song is from Bob’s Burgers Season 5, Episode 10, “Late Afternoon in the Garden of Bob and Louise.” The song is called “Happy Crappy Place”:
Lyrics:
Tomatoes and sweet peas and green beans
It’s a dream come true
I wanna take her stupid neck
and wring it
That’s what I want to do, too
But with him
The only thing greener
than these plants is my thumb
How did we ever get stuck
with these bums?
The restaurant’s now a crappy place
I think I found my happy place
I’m like a British Lady in my garden
And my plants agree
Mm-hmm!
He’s the most annoying person
that was ever born
Oh, God, she brought her own tea
I’m the world’s greatest farmer
Things are growing so well
We’re living in our own personal hell
The restaurant’s now our crappy place
I think I found my happy
The restaurant’s now our crappy, crappy,
crappy, crappy
Happy, happy, happy, happy Place.

I LOVE Bob’s dancing in this video! πIt just warms my heart and makes me laugh. π€£
It’s too bad that Bob is clearly SO happy spending time in his garden while his family is clearly so UNHAPPY with the sacrifices they had to make so Bob could be in his happy place.
Can you relate to this song or the video at all?
I hope that wherever you are on Earth Day, the weather is beautiful so that you can enjoy some time outside. ππ
Wishing you well! π
The juxtaposition in this post of the Bob’s Burgers video and the Zen-like park in Japan delights me and makes me smile. I share your love of nature…it is indeed a happy place for me too. (if it’s not hot…or buggy… π )
πI’m glad you appreciate the picture I picked for this silly song, Dawn! Thank you for sharing that the outdoors is your happy place too! π
