I am still filled with awe and gratitude that next week Friday is my first show since COVID hit the U.S. in 2020. 😲💙 (Check out the details of the show, here.)
I am SO EXCITED to be able to share my love for music with others again! 🎵
I’ve been practicing 43 songs for the show. My set list contains some of my original songs and several covers—from a WIDE variety of genres.
One song that I will be performing a cover of is “Sea of Love” by Phil Phillips & The Twilights.
I first heard this song in 2013 when one of my friends asked me to do a cover of it.😊After I heard it, I LOVED this adorable song! I first performed it in February of 2013.
Lyrics:
Come with me my love
To the sea
The sea of love
I want to tell you
How much I love you
Do you remember
When we met?
That’s the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you
How much I love you
Come with me
To the sea of love
Do you remember
When we met?
That’s the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you
How much I love you
Come with me
To the sea of love
Do you remember
When we met?
That’s the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you
How much I love you

Although it’s a simple song, I find it to be completely moving and heartwarming. 🧡 What do you think of it?
I was very surprised to learn that the only member of Phil Phillips & The Twilights is Phil Phillips! 😲 He is the one doing the backup vocals!
This song was released in 1959, and something amazing about music is that no matter when it was introduced to the world, people can enjoy it many years—if not generations— later.💜
What songs do you enjoy that were popular in the1950s?
I hope this week’s song puts you in a feel-good mood. 🌞
Wishing you well! 💛
