Learning through Music

Here’s another edition of the Thursday Evening Post. πŸ˜ƒ

I’ve been THOROUGHLY enjoying the warmer weather we’ve been having here in Wisconsin! 😎

Sometimes it snows in Wisconsin at the end of April, so I’m pleased that snow does not look to be in the forecast! 😁

Even though the weather has been warmer, I haven’t seen any butterflies yet! Have you? πŸ¦‹

I LOVE watching the butterflies! πŸ’œ

This photo is from my first trip to Taiwan. I remember that this was actually the first time I ever saw a butterfly garden!

I love the ADORABLE butterfly decoration amidst the beautiful flowers! ❀️

I wasn’t able to capture any butterflies enjoying the garden though. πŸ˜†

I love traveling the world because I learn SO MUCH! πŸ’œ

If we regularly expose ourselves to new experiences/things, we will continuously learn! πŸ’™

I have ALWAYS loved learning! πŸ€“

When you were in school, do you remember how you best learned?

Music has ALWAYS helped me acquire and retain information! 🎢

For example, at university, I strengthened my Swedish skills by regularly listening to and singing along with Swedish tunes. πŸ˜ƒ

In high school biology class, I remember creating a song to remember the parts of a cell! πŸ˜‚

In elementary school, I remember learning multiplication factors through songs! In fact, I vividly remember my third-grade teacher wheeling in a record player.

It was so OLD! πŸ˜‚I found it to be very mysterious! πŸ•΅οΈ I wondered what she was going to play for the class.

Once she started playing extremely catchy multiplication tunes, I was SO EXCITED! πŸ˜€

Some of my classmates may have been annoyed, but I LOVED it! πŸ’›

Recently, I had been talking to someone about how I had learned multiplication and started singing these multiplication songs for them. πŸ˜‚

They were a little speechless and laughed at me. 🀣

I looked on YouTube and was FILLED with EXCITEMENT when I actually found the songs that my teacher played for our class!

Here is the 5s song:

I remember a classmate that started jumping around his desk when the singer sang “I’ll jump over this broom stick.” πŸ˜‚

I really liked the 4s song because it sounded so mysterious! 🀣

The 9s song was a lot of fun because it sounds like a passionate love song! πŸ˜‚

It brought me SUCH great joy to hear these songs again! They brought back so many memories! 😊

Can you think of any songs that helped you remember things for school?

May you be well! πŸ’™

If you’d like to support my mission to share my passion for music with the world and spread joy, love, and positivity, you can do so here. Thank you! ❀️
