I’m shaking with excitement right now! Tomorrow I get to do another show!
On the East side of Madison, at Glass Nickel Pizza Co., I’m going to open for Jimmy Murn & The HeyMakers!
I’m very excited about this event! It’s my second show!
This is going to be my second time opening for the talented Jimmy Murn. At my last show, I got to open for Jimmy Murn, and he did an amazing acoustic set! For tomorrow’s show, I get to open for Jimmy Murn again, but this time he’ll be performing with his band. I’m looking forward to seeing Jimmy Murn & The HeyMakers perform live. I just know that their performance is going to rock!
My first show was unplugged, but for this show, I get to use an amp with my Dean acoustic electric, and a microphone. I’m excited to perform my original tunes this way for the first time!
I think that there is something that can be appreciated about unplugged performances. At my first show, it was up to me to make sure that I sang and played loud enough. It was a lot of work, but I really enjoyed being the one responsible for my own volume.
A plus side to using a microphone is that I can save my voice a bit more. At my first show, I had a challenging time belting out lower notes near the end of my unplugged set (I wasn’t used to singing for long periods of time, so my voice was giving out 😦 ). It will be interesting to see how my voice feels after my set tomorrow. After that, I will be able to tell you which way I prefer to perform. 😉
This week has been super crazy! I’ve been working full-time at my day job while working on my album and preparing for my show during the few periods of free time that I have. I’ve been feeling so exhausted! But, it’s totally going to be worth it!
Performing my songs live was something that I thought was unattainable, but here I am, going to do it for the second time! This is absolutely surreal!
If you’re around the Madison area tomorrow night, you should check out my show with Jimmy Murn & The HeyMakers.
The Glass Nickel Pizza Co is located at 2916 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI 53704.
The show starts at 10pm, and there’s a $3 cover charge.
I’m so excited about tomorrow’s show! I hope I can sleep tonight 🙂
