Thankful for Kickstarter

Monday is a day I’m still trying to process: I met my goal for Kickstarter!

Last Thursday, I launched my Kickstarter with the goal of attempting to raise $1,000. Although this number is only a portion of the cost for making a CD (which includes: recording, mastering, album photography, album art, making physical copies of the CD, and registering my songs through the Copyright department), I chose this number because I thought there might be a small chance that I could achieve my goal in 21 days. Getting pledges to help cover the costs of recording helps me majorly, as I have been using my savings to make this CD.

I was super shocked on Monday when I checked my Kickstarter. I remember feeling confused. I looked at my project, saw a number larger than my goal, and I just said to myself (out loud), “What? Did I just…Did I just make my goal? How is that even possible?”

I discovered on Monday that one of my backers pledged a large pledge. I couldn’t be more grateful!

My Kickstarter ends on Thanksgiving day (the end date was arbitrary, I just wanted my project to be 21 days long, and the 21st day happened to be Thanksgiving). I know that this Thanksgiving, I have a lot to be thankful for. I have really amazing backers! The fact that there are people out there who are supporting me to the extent that they are making financial donations to help me cover the cost of creating my album is just absolutely amazing!

I am just so grateful for all of my supporters!

If you would like to obtain a digital copy or hard copy of TEMPTATION before everyone else, you can obtain one through my Kickstarter, here.

If you’re interested in hearing some clips of the songs that will be on TEMPTATION, you can do so on my Kickstarter video.

What an amazing week! I am truly thankful for all of my supporters!

I want to give a special thank you to the 16 of you who have backed me so far!!!!! 🙂
