I just love the Marvel universe! Each time a new movie comes out, I can’t help but go see it! ❤

Last week’s post “I Will Always Love You” was inspired by recently seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home. It got me thinking about how many FANTASTIC songs appear in the Marvel movies.

Take Captain Marvel for example. What an AWESOME collection of songs!

One of the songs that was in the movie was No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”

I hadn’t heard that song for such a long time and was rather surprised that I basically knew all the words still. 😉

I remembered that I first heard about No Doubt when I was in the fifth grade. For my birthday my father gave me a cassette tape of No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom album. He was so excited about it! 🙂 I looked at my dad really confused because I had no idea who this band was or what their music was like.

I remember my dad saying, “You know who they are. You’ve heard their songs,” but I just shook my head. When I started playing the tape, I still didn’t know who they were, but as I started listening, I realized that their music was AWESOME. Thanks, Dad! ❤

I remember when I first heard “Just a Girl.” I LOVED it! I memorized every word and belted the song that become my anthem. 😉

I had never thought about learning the song on my guitar, but when I heard it in Captain Marvel, I wondered how I forgot about this awesome song and realized that I HAD TO learn it! 🙂

Learning “Just a Girl” on my guitar has been added to my to-do list, but who knows, maybe on a day I am feeling extra sassy I will move it to the top of my list. 😉
