Don’t Know Why

I hope your week has been FABULOUS! πŸ’™

I’ve been busy practicing for my upcoming show. My setlist is filled with songs I love, and I am excited to perform some songs that I haven’t performed before.

One of those songs is Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why.”

Lyrics:

I waited ’til I saw the sun
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I left you by the house of fun
Don’t know why I didn’t come
Don’t know why I didn’t come

When I saw the break of day
I wished that I could fly away
Instead of kneeling in the sand
Catching tear-drops in my hand

My heart is drenched in wine
But you’ll be on my mind forever

Out across the endless sea
I would die in ecstasy
But I’ll be a bag of bones
Driving down the road alone

My heart is drenched in wine
But you’ll be on my mind forever

Something has to make you run
I don’t know why I didn’t come
I feel as empty as a drum
I don’t know why I didn’t come
Don’t know why I didn’t come
I don’t know why I didn’t come

I remember hearing this song A LOT on the radio when I was growing up, and I always LOVED it. πŸ’š

Norah Jones’ voice is very unique and extremely beautiful.

I actually had never seen the official music video for this song until I searched for it for this week’s post.

I was pleased to see that it has a summer theme and is perfect for this time of year!πŸ˜‰

What comes to mind when you hear this song? Are there things you have done that make you wonder why you did them?

The good news is, life always allows us to move forward, so if you made choices you regret, you can make better ones now. πŸ’œ

Wishing you well! πŸ’›
