Cruella De Vil

Happy OCTOBER! ๐ŸŽƒ

It’s my favorite month of the year, and my FAVORITE holiday is coming soon! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฆ‡

What is your favorite 2D animated Disney film? As I had mentioned in an earlier post, mine is The Little Mermaid.

Since it’s Halloween time, I wanted to write about my favorite VILLAIN from a 2D animated Disney film. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ Who is your favorite?

Based on the title of this post, you could probably guess that mine is Cruella De Vil from the 1961 film 101 Dalmatians.

Betty Lou Gerson, the actress who voiced Cruella, does an absolutely incredible job making Cruella so mean and overbearing that she is utterly despisable! What do you think of her performance as Cruella?

The film features a song named after her that describes how awful of a being she is. Here is “Cruella De Vil.”

Lyrics:

Cruella De Vil
Cruella De Vil
If she doesn’t scare you
No evil thing will
To see her is to
Take a sudden chill
Cruella, Cruella
She’s like a spider waiting
For the kill
Look out for Cruella De Vil
At first you think
Cruella is a devil
But after time has worn
Away the shock
You come to realize
You’ve seen her kind of eyes
Watching you from underneath
A rock!
This vampire bat
This inhuman beast
She ought to be locked up
And never released
The world was such
A wholesome place until
Cruella, Cruella De Vil

Here’s a photo I took during a Halloween parade when I visited Tokyo Disneyland.

What do you think of this song? I love that it is so catchy, and I appreciate the creative and hilarious lyrics. ๐Ÿ–ค

This scene in the movie is my ABSOLUTE favorite. ๐ŸงกI think Roger’s performance of this song is extremely adorable, and my favorite part of the song is when Roger scares Anita. ๐Ÿคฃ

This scene ALWAYS makes me smile! What do you think of this scene?

I hope this week’s post brightened your day! ๐ŸŒž

Wishing you well! ๐Ÿ’›

Thoughts? Please post them :-)
