My Photo Shoot Is Coming!

Are you excited about having a three day weekend? (Sorry if you’re one of the people who has to work on Memorial Day.)

I’m really excited about the upcoming weekend! But it’s not just for 3 days of vacation, I finally get to have my photo shoot for my album 🙂

As I’ve blogged about before, I’m having the talented Maison Gustke, of MaisonMeredith Photography, shoot the photos for my album. I am really impressed by the work that I have seen, and I’m really excited to see how the shoot turns out!

I’m really excited, as I have said multiple times 😉 But I am also really nervous! The last time (and only time) I had my photos professionally taken was my senior picture photo shoot…AGES ago! I remember being nervous because I wanted to do poses and faces without looking silly…So here I will be this weekend, trying to not look goofy in front of the camera. How do models do it? They make it look so easy!

For my album, I really wanted to have a photo shoot outside. I originally planned on having my photo shoot last month, but because Wisconsin‘s weather has been so sassy this year, I moved my photo shoot to May, just to be safe.

But, it is Memorial Day weekend, and like as many Memorial Day weekends as I can remember, there’s a good chance it’s going to rain. I’m crossing my fingers that my shoot won’t get rained out.

I’m having my photos taken at UW-Madison‘s Arboretum. I think it’s a perfect place for a photo shoot because of the gorgeous nature EVERYWHERE! 🙂

I was at a the Wingra Oak Savanna a couple weekends ago for an Ecological Restoration Work Party with my students.

I’m not sure yet which part of the Arboretum we will be taking photos at, but I will leave that up to Maison’s creative eye 🙂

Please cross your fingers for good weather 😎

Thoughts? Please post them :-)
