In last week’s post, I shared that I got to see Rammstein live at Stadion Śląski. 🙂 This week, I wanted to share some more about my trip to Poland. ❤
I LOVE learning languages, and I LOVE traveling. In earlier posts, I shared with you some of the experiences I had during my trips to South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Ireland.
My trip to Poland was an extra special trip for me because my great-grandmother and her family were from Poland.
I had hoped to spend time intensively studying Polish before my trip, but unfortunately, due to other commitments, my studies were not as intensive as I had hoped. However, I did learn a bunch of useful expressions that helped me get around. 🙂
I want to share that the people in Poland were so KIND. ❤ The food was AMAZING, and there were so many interesting things to see.
I landed in Kraków and due to a delayed flight was unfortunately only able to spend a few hours in the city. However, that didn’t keep me from walking around and taking in as much as I could in the few hours that I had there. 🙂
It was a BEAUTIFUL, hot, and humid day in Krakow. I am used to Wisconsin summers (AND LOVE THEM ❤ ), so I had no complaints about the weather that day. 😉
Here are some photos from Krakow’s Market Square:
In this photo you can see the beautiful architecture. I just LOVED the buildings! If I had more time, I probably would have gotten a ride in a horse-drawn carriage. 🙂 The people who were riding around in them looked like they were really enjoying themselves.
You can see that some people in the photo were walking around with their luggage. I was definitely one of those people….pulling my luggage around Krakow and stopping to take photos. 😉
There were several tents up with vendors selling various products. Look at those BEAUTIFUL flower wreaths! 🙂
Again, you can also see some great architecture in the background.
Here is a list of things you can do when you go to Krakow. If I had more time, one of the things that would have been interesting to see would have been the Wieliczka Salt Mine. It’s the longest active salt mine in the world! 😮
My experience to Krakow was great, and I hope to return there again some day and spend more time there. 🙂
Stay tuned for more posts about my trip to Poland!
