The Quirky Turkey

Hello Friends! 🙂

Today, it is Thanksgiving in the U.S.A. I always look forward to Thanksgiving because it is a time to focus on gratitude, a time to spend with my loved ones, and a time to eat AMAZING, DELICIOUS food! 🙂

This year, however, I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving differently due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Rather than visiting with a large group of my loved ones, I had a video call with them instead. ❤

Rather than having a traditional Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry relishes, etc.), I had cheese fondue with turkey sausage sticks! 😀

Of all the Thanksgivings that I have celebrated, this is by far the most important one for practicing gratitude. I am beyond grateful that I have been able to stay healthy during this pandemic and that my loved ones are also healthy. ❤

I know that there were people celebrating Thanksgiving today that were mourning the loss of their loved ones who died because of COVID. 😦 😦 My heart goes out to all of those people. ❤

To help ease the suffering and feelings of isolation that this pandemic has caused, each week, I have written about a song/video that I hope will boost your spirits, even if it is only for a few moments. ❤

(If you’d like to check out other posts I’ve written during this pandemic, you can find them here: “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” “Handwashing Songs,” “Everything’s Not Awesome,” “Quarantine Song,” “Reflection,” “Captain Planet Theme Song,” “Fix You,”  “5,000 Candles in the Wind,” “Orchestra Medley,”What the Word Needs Now is Love,”“Ordinary Man,” “I’ll Take You There,”“Catchy Song,” “I Can See Clearly Now,”“Sing,” “Think,” “ Hold Your Head Up,”“Put On Your Mask,”  “Wash Your Hands,” “Get On Your Feet,” “Colors of the Wind,”“Let It Go,”“Hooked on a Feeling,”  “All You Need Is Love,” “I Am Enough,” “Get Together,”  “Lean on Me,”   “I Love U So Much (It’s Scary)”“Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)”“The Holtzmann Dance,” “Time Warp, “The Keep Going Song,” “Come and Get Your Love, and “Almost There.”)

The song/video I would like to share this week is from Bob’s Burgers. The song is from Tina Belcher’s “Quirky Turkey” musical. 😀

In “The Quirkducers,” season 7, episode 6, Tina Belcher’s Thanksgiving musical idea gets selected and her siblings, Louise and Gene, help her put on the show. Little does Tina know that Louise and Gene want to make the musical a catastrophe so that all the kids get sent home early. 😉 Louise and Gene turn Tina’s Thanksgiving musical into a gory show! 😮 This episode is hilarious!

I couldn’t find a clip of the musical Tina put on at school, but here is the song from Tina’s musical that was included at the end of the episode (with much less gore! 😉 ):

Tina’s unique ideas and Louise and Gene’s mischievous ideas always put a smile on my face! 🙂

I hope today’s song/video made you smile. 🙂

Today, please take the time to think of all the things you can be grateful for! ❤

Wishing you well! ❤
