I was recently re-watching some Bob Burgers and was especially humored by “Dream a Little Bob of Bob” (Season 11, Episode 1).
In this episode, Tina Belcher’s family is VERY good at hand clapping games. Check out this clip:
As you can see, Tina is NOT skilled in this area. 😂
When I was a kid, I remember having fun with hand clapping games. Do you?
I particularly remember “Miss Mary Mack.”
Miss Mary Mack, Mack Mack
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons,
All down her back, back, back
She asked her mother, mother, mother
For fifteen cents, cents, cents
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants
Jump the fence, fence, fence
They jumped so high, high, high
They touched the sky, sky, sky
And they never came back, back, back
Till the Fourth of July, ly, ly
Did you know a version of “Miss Mary Mack” that had different words?
The episode focuses on Tina trying learn how to play hand clapping games as well as her family, and it is SO ENTERTAINING when she finally figures it out!
Check it out:
The excitement that Tina feels when she does the hand clapping game correctly is contagious! Do you remember being that excited to achieve something you had been working really hard to do? 😁
The episode ends with the song “Look What Tina Can Do with Her Hands.”
The video that I found that plays this song actually repeats the song several times! 🤣
Lyrics:
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Background: Look what Tina,
Can do with her hands,
Tina: Boob, fart, nips, tips, double dips,
And that’s why we drove off the cliff
Background: Look what Tina,
Can do with her hands,
Tina: Hell yeah! Hell yeah!
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Look what Tina can do with her hands,
Look what Tina can do with her hands,

May this week’s post bring back happy memories from your childhood and inspire you to recall at least ONE thing that you have been really excited about accomplishing! 🩷
Wishing you well! 💙
