Fix You

Wishing you well this Thursday! ❤

Have you ever seen the movie Abominable?

Because we all are socially distanced, self care is more important than ever right now. One of the things I’ve been trying to do for myself is watch movies that warm my heart. This movie was one of them. ❤

There is a quote in the film that goes “No matter how hard the journey gets, never give up.” I found this quote to be really powerful at a time like this. Despite all the challenges that people are facing all over the world, things will get better. We can’t give up. ❤

My favorite part of this film was when the characters were in a beautiful wooded area at night and the song “Fix You” by Coldplay played in the background. I loved this part of the film because the beautiful colors paired with “Fix You” felt like a big hug! ❤ 😉 Although I don’t have a clip of this part of the movie, here is Coldplay’s official video for the song:

Lyrics:

When you try your best but you don’t succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can’t sleep
Stuck in reverse
When the tears come streaming down your face
‘Cause you lose something you can’t replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
What could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
But high up above or down below
When you are too in love to let it show
Oh but if you never try you’ll never know
Just what you’re worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
oh and tears come streaming down your face
And I
Tears streaming down your face
I promise you I will learn from all my mistakes
oh and the tears streaming down your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

I learned this song on my guitar a while back because it was one of my friend’s favorites, and he had asked that I learn it. 🙂 I really enjoy playing this song because of how moving it is. ❤

Although we are able to connect with others online, I know that it’s not quite the same as how we connected with others before the Coronavirus (COVID-19) hit.

I hope that this week’s song helps you think about someone that you can reach out to and connect with during this difficult time.
