Sunday evening was my photo shoot for my album. It was amazing!

I was a little stressed out before my photo shoot because it was raining! I love the rain…but did it really have to come on the day of my shoot?

Maison Gustke, of Maison Meredith Photography, assured me that everything would be fine despite the rain…and she was right!

As I blogged about last week, I had planned on having my photo shoot at UW-Madison’s Arboretum. I wasn’t sure if it would work out because it was raining, but Maison found a spot for me in the woods with enough branches to shield me from the rain 🙂 I really enjoyed the photo shoot in the woods because it was so pretty outside! It didn’t even matter that it was raining…except of course for a minor incident.  The rain made the ground a bit muddy, and when I put on my (impractical but super cute so I had to buy them!) heels for my photo and tried to walk, I actually got stuck 😀 Thanks to Maison, I was able to escape from the “quicksand” and continue on with my shoot 🙂

After a wardrobe change in my car ;-), we traveled to the UW-Madison campus. Maison suggested that we take photos at the Mosse Humanities Building because I could get an urban feel in my photos and also have a safe place to take out my guitar. (Instruments and rain do not mix!)

During my shoot Maison had all these awesome ideas for poses, expressions, and backgrounds. She is a true artist!

This shoot was truly a dream come true!!! I couldn’t have gotten to this point if my sister hadn’t introduced me to the wonderfully amazing Maison Gustke!

More than ever I feel PUMPED to finish my album! 🙂
