Good Luck Charm

Hereโ€™s another edition of the Thursday Evening Post. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I CAN’T WAIT for my show this weekend! ๐Ÿ˜ƒHere are the details:

Here’s a clip of me performing my original song “Beautiful Agony” at Wisconsin Brewing Company/Lake Louie Brewing last April.

I’m SO LOOKING FOWARD to performing there again! โค๏ธ

Did you know that yesterday was Elvis’ birthday? He would have turned 90 years old! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Whenever I hear about Elvis, I think about my AMAZING cousin. ๐Ÿ’œ

She’s the one I wrote the song “Tarantula” for.

Since her birthday happens to be this weekend, I will DEFINITELY be performing “Tarantula” at my show in honor of her.

Additionally, since she LOVED Elvis, I thought it would be special to do a cover of an Elvis song that she liked.

I found out what some of her favorite Elvis songs were and have decided to do a cover of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” at my show.

I’ve had a lot of fun practicing that song! ๐Ÿ’›

Another one of her favorites was “Good Luck Charm,” and I actually hadn’t heard of the song before.

Lyrics:

Uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh
Oh yeah

Don’t want a four leaf clover
Don’t want an old horse shoe
Want your kiss ’cause I just can’t miss
With a good luck charm like you
Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-uh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
Don’t want a silver dollar
Rabbit’s foot on a string

The happiness in your warm caress
No rabbit’s foot can bring
Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-uh huh, you sweet delight
I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm
To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight

Uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh
Oh yeah

Uh-uh huh, uh-huh, tonight
If I found a lucky penny
I’d toss it across the bay
Your love is worth all the gold on earth
No wonder that I say

Come on and be my little good luck charm
Uh-huh huh, you sweet delight

I want a good luck charm
A-hanging on my arm

To have, to have, to hold, to hold tonight
Uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh
Oh yeah

Uh-uh huh, uh-uh huh

This was her guitar. You can read about that, here.

What do you think of the song?

I think it’s adorable! ๐Ÿ˜ It’s one of those songs that makes you feel all cozy inside! ๐Ÿป

What do you do to honor those you love who are no longer part of this world?

May you be well! ๐Ÿ’š

If youโ€™d like to support my mission to share my passion for music with the world and spread joy, love, and positivity, you can do so here. Thank you! โค๏ธ
