I recently started watched the show New Girl because my friend told me she loved it and thought I would too.

Well, she was CORRECT! 😃

The show is absolutely HILARIOUS and Zooey Deschanel is FANTASTIC! 💚

Whenever I’m watching a show or movie, I pay attention to the music that is being used.

In “Backslide” (Season 1, Episode 23), Jess (played by Zooey Deschanel) tries to cope with a recent breakup by listening to the same song over and over again—driving her roommates crazy! 🤪

I wasn’t able to recognize the song, but it sounded SO BEAUTIFUL! Thanks to Joni Mitchell’s “Library of Cultural References,” I learned that Jess was listening to her song “River.”
