This week, I have more to share about my recent visit to Portugal! 😃 (If you haven’t seen my other Portugal posts, check out Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, and Day 4. 😊)
Although up until this point in my trip my vacation in Portugal had been absolutely AMAZING, I was MOST looking forward to this day!
On my fifth day in Portugal, I traveled to Sintra again but this time to see Castelo dos Mouros (the Castle of the Moors).
Castelo dos Mouros is a medieval castle located high on a hill.

I was SO EXCITED to get up to the castle and explore it! 😁
When I got up to the castle, I had goosebumps! It was SO BEAUTIFUL! 💜
I had thought visiting the castle meant I would be able to see some ruins, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was SO MUCH of the castle to see!

There were so many STUNNING views from the castle.
I was amazed by the numerous GIGANTIC rocks everywhere and the absolute peacefulness at the castle. 💚

After the castle, I walked down the hill. The walk down was INCREDIBLE! There were so many BEAUTIFUL green trees. The air was so FRESH! 😊
I worked up quite an appetite from that hike and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Tasca Saloia. I had polvo à lagareiro com fritas (octopus with fries) for the first time. It was SO TASTY! I also enjoyed having green wine for the first time! It was a great way to celebrate seeing the attraction I was most excited to see on my trip!
Visiting Castelo dos Mouros was a truly amazing experience—even better than I had imagined it would be! 💛
I hope you enjoyed the photos in this week’s post. 😊
Wishing you well! 💙
