Tiger

It’s the last day of August! 😲

Since the temperatures are going to start getting cooler and cooler now, I want to make sure I’m spending a lot of time outdoors.

This week, I visited the Henry Vilas Zoo, and I was BEYOND excited because I FINALLY saw the entire tiger! 🐯😜

Up until now, whenever I had gone to the zoo, the tiger would be sleeping behind a huge rock, and I would usually only be able to see the top of his tail.

Earlier this summer, I saw his head peaking out from around the rock, and I about lost my mind! 🀣The tiger is one of my FAVORITE animals, so I was so excited that day!

However, this week, the tiger was actually WALKING AROUND! πŸ˜ƒI was ECSTATIC! πŸ˜„

Here’s a picture of the GORGEOUS animal!

You can be assured that I had a FANTASTIC rest of my day simply because I got to see the tiger! 😁

Isn’t it interesting how something simple can bring such happiness?

Can you think of a time you had a similar experience?

To celebrate my excitement over FINALLY seeing the tiger at the zoo, I wanted to share a song about a tiger.

I already wrote about “Eye of the Tiger” in the past, so I looked online for other songs that are about tigers. I came across one I hadn’t heard beforeβ€””Tiger” by ABBA.

Lyrics:

The city is a jungle, you’d better take care
Never walk alone after midnight
If you don’t believe it, you’d better beware
of me
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger
People who fear me never come near me
I am the tiger
The city is a nightmare, a horrible dream
Some of us will dream it forever
Look around the corner, and try not to scream
It’s me
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger
People who fear me never come near me
I am the tiger
Yellow eyes are glowing like the neon lights
Yellow eyes, the spotlights of the city nights
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger
People who fear me never come near me
I am the tiger
The city is a prison, you’ll never escape
You’re forever trapped in the alleys
Look into the shadows, and you’ll see the shape
Of me
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger
People who fear me never come near me
I am the tiger
Yellow eyes are glowing like the neon lights
Yellow eyes, the spotlights of the city nights
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger
People who fear me never come near me
I am the tiger
And if I meet you, what if I eat you?
I am the tiger
I am behind you, I always find you
I am the tiger, tiger, tiger

The song is SOOO catchy! What do you think of it?

It makes me want to dance like so many other ABBA songs. πŸ•ΊπŸ»

I was excited to find this song because I LOVED listening to ABBA when I was studying at university, and this was an ABBA song I hadn’t heard before.

My Swedish instructor had exposed us to TONS of ABBA music (in Swedish) to help us improve our language. I think we listened to ABBA in class every Friday! 😊

When you hear ABBA music, does it bring back any memories?

I hope this week’s post brought you some joy. πŸ™‚

Wishing you well! 🧑
