It’s Now or Never

Here in Wisconsin, it’s been warm (for winter πŸ˜‰) the last two days, and it has been GREAT getting outside. β™₯ (I’ve posted some nature photos on Instagram.πŸ“·)

Earlier this week was my cousin’s birthday. I wrote the song “Tarantula” for her.

I always admired the way she lived her life fearlessly authentically. πŸ’™

Aside from her being the boldest person I knew, something else unique about her was that she absolutely LOVED Elvis. πŸ˜ƒ (She was the only person I knew growing up who had Elvis’ name written on her bedroom ceiling. πŸ˜„) I always think of her whenever I hear Elvis’ music.

Lyrics:

It’s now or never, come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling, be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late
It’s now or never, my love won’t wait
When I first saw you with your smile so tender
My heart was captured, my soul surrendered
I spent a lifetime waiting for the right time
Now that you’re near, too bad you’re queer my dear
It’s now or never, come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling, be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late
It’s now or never, my love won’t wait
Just like a willow, we would cry an ocean
If we lost true love and sweet devotion
Your lips excite me, let your arms invite me
For who knows when we’ll meet again this way
It’s now or never, come hold me tight
Kiss me my darling, be mine tonight
Tomorrow will be too late
It’s now, my love won’t wait
It’s now or never, my love won’t wait

I was given her bass guitar, and you will notice that it is often in the background of the videos that I post.

What do you think of this song? What do you think of Elvis?

“It’s now or never” is such a feel good song about love, but one reason why I picked this Elvis song to share is because of the “It’s now or never” part.

It’s a new year. If you want to have a new YOU, it’s now or never.

If you’ve always wanted to say something, have the courage to say it.

It you’ve always wanted to do something, have the courage to do it.

If you’ve always wanted to be a certain way, have the courage to be the person you’ve always wanted to be.

Have the courage to be fearlessly authentic. πŸ’›
