I finally had a chance to watch the latest season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
Have you seen it? What did you think?
I really enjoyed this season and would say this is my second favorite season (with the first season being my favorite). ๐ค
I enjoyed the spookiness and monsters in the 4th season, and it helped me get more into the Halloween spirit. ๐ป
This season introduced me to a song that was released in 1985 that I had never heard of before.
It was Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill.”
Lyrics:
It doesn’t hurt me
Do you wanna feel how it feels?
Do you wanna know, know that it doesn’t hurt me?
Do you wanna hear about the deal that I’m making?
You, it’s you and me
And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
If I only could, oh
You don’t wanna hurt me
But see how deep the bullet lies
Unaware I’m tearing you asunder
Ooh, there is thunder in our hearts
Is there so much hate for the ones we love?
Tell me, we both matter, don’t we?
You, it’s you and me
It’s you and me won’t be unhappy
And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building
Say, if I only could, oh
You
It’s you and me
It’s you and me won’t be unhappy
C’mon, baby, c’mon, darling
Let me steal this moment from you now
C’mon, angel, c’mon, c’mon, darling
Let’s exchange the experience, ohโฆ
And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get him to swap our places
I’d be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
So if I only could
And make a deal with God
I’d get him to swap our places
I’d be running up that road
Be running up that hill
With no problems
So if I only could
Be running up that hill
With no problems
If I only could, I’d be running up that hill
If I only could, I’d be running up that hill.

In the show, the song was featured regularly, so I have had this song stuck in my head for a while. ๐
I like that Kate Bush’s beautiful voice and the music in this song have a sort of haunting element to them. What do you think of the song?
Have you ever been in a situation before where you wish you could trade places with someone else in order to better understand where they are coming from?
In the music video above, I appreciate the interpretive dancing in it. It was very creative to pair it with this unique sounding song.
Next week, be prepared for the Halloween posts to begin. ๐ฆ๐
Wishing you well!๐๐งก
