Independence Day is very special to me because it was always my grandfather’s favorite holiday. I wrote about him in a post last November called, “Thank you, Grandpa.”  In that post, in honor of my grandfather, I shared my cover of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

Since Independence Day was earlier this week, I thought it would be appropriate to share the song again today. 🙂

I had the honor of performing this song at my high school graduation ceremony, and I have always loved this beautiful song and what it means to me.

I enjoy listening to other renditions of “The Star-Spangled Banner” and feeling all of the passion that can be expressed through this song.

I am grateful for all of the wonderful people who have served and are serving in the military so that we can live in a country with great diversity and great opportunities. ❤
