Here’s another edition of the Thursday Evening Post.  🤓

In last week’s post “What If They’re Right,” I talked about liking what you like purely because YOU like it! ❤️ I gave the example of how much I LOVED Hanson when I was a kid!

I was thinking about how Hanson’s song “Weird” from their Middle of Nowhere album is perfectly related to last week’s post! (I STILL remember the majority of songs from that album WORD FOR WORD! 🤣)

I love the following lines:

Can you remember a time that you were going through a challenge and felt like no one could recognize you were going through it or understand what you were going through?

I also find the following lines extremely moving:

Have you ever felt like you are an alien compared to most people? 👽

The members of Hanson were kids when they wrote this song, and it is so impressive how children could write something so deep!

How many adults are out there who are still trying to figure out who they are and are still trying to be okay with the fact that people may not like their true selves?

I support YOU being your true self—even if others consider that true self “weird.”

I EMBRACE weirdness! 💚

If authenticity means being a weirdo, so be it! 💜
